The eight-speed automatic transmission
in the BMW Gran Turismo.

The rev counter is the only place you'll notice: with the new eight-speed automatic transmission the smaller increments from one gear to the next don't just increase ride and shift comfort in the BMW Gran Turismo, they also enable faster gearshifts and more profitable use of the optimum rev range. This reduces fuel consumption and lowers CO2 emissions. The system is supported by the newly developed converter clutch – even if you use the electronic gearshift lever to shift manually.
